Jan’s Cooking Class originated in my home in Ithaca, New York in 1990 for spouses of graduate students at Cornell. Growing up in a large family I learned the importance and joy of cooking from my own mother; sharing that with others is one of my greatest joys. The class has grown over these twenty years and many of the students continue to connect with each other from all over the world.

Dear Blair,
Thank you for your interest in finding a cooking class. We would love to have you join us anytime you can. Our class is every Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. to noon. There is a small fee of $5.00 per class and since we have designed it to be an open class this mean that anyone may come whenever it works into their schedule. Children are welcome as well as my own grandchildren come with our daughter, Pamela, helping with watching them.
Our location is Crossroads Life Center, 604 Buffalo St., Ithaca. Parking is somewhat an issue as the space in front is used for the Carriage House Cafe which is adjacent to us. Please use the parking available along the streets.
